Welcome to the Black Horse Poets website, celebrating the poetry of the Black Horse Poets in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.
We meet on the last Tuesday of every month at Henry Boons pub in Westgate, Wakefield, at 7 pm. Bring along ten copies of your original poem and share it with the group. You'll find plenty of support and some gentle criticism. If that is too daunting, then just come along and listen and find out where everyone else is with their poetry. Also we have a writer session on the second Tuesday of every month. Come along to that with paper, pen and a quick wit. All meetings run from 7 pm to about 9 pm with an all-important drinks break at the interval. |
